Politeia seeks to understand and address the systemic and situational obstacles to active citizenship. Unlike other organizations, we are oriented to understanding the deeper reasons behind the lack of civic engagement and voting in our nation. Politeia assists organizations and individuals in addressing the need for broad, lifelong pathways to participation in our democracy.

We know that 80 million Americans chose not to vote in the 2020 election. We want to know why citizens from every walk of life are opting out of our political system.

About Us
Politeia was founded in response to the growing cultural and political disenfranchisement in our nation. We believe that the great problems that face the nation can be resolved through reasoned debate and broad, active participation in our democracy. Our organizations primary aims are:
To understand why Americans of all racial, ethnic, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds are opting out of our political discourse. This is seen in the often lamented lack of engagement in minority communities throughout the nation, particularly in our major cities.
To engage individuals and organizations dedicated to the promotion of voting access and rights.
To work collaboratively with other non-partisan local, regional and national organizations to engage disaffected voters and facilitate their access to voting.
